Watermelon Lime Refresher
Watermelon makes such a great refreshing drink since it is made up of 92% water. Travelers in ancient times even used watermelon juice as a replacement for water. This beautiful Watermelon Lime Refresher will quench your thirst in no time.
Ingredients
5 cups organic watermelon, cubed
juice of 1 lime
1 organic lime thinly sliced for garnish
2 tablespoons honey or to taste
sparkling water
Directions
This recipe requires a grown-up helper! In a blender place half of the watermelon cubes, blend until smooth. Poor into a pitcher and then blend the remaining cubes of watermelon, add to the pitcher. Strain the juice into another pitcher gently pressing with a wooden spoon, discard watermelon pulp. Add the juice of 1 lime and the honey to the watermelon juice and stir. Cut thin slices of lime for garnish. Fill tall clear glasses with ice. Poor 1/2 full with watermelon lime juice add sparkling water to 3/4 full and garnish with a slice of lime. Serves 4
